Mr. Johan Minnaar
Managing Director
Mr. Johan Minnaar was appointed Managing Director for Cavmont Bank Limited in January 2010. He joined Cavmont Capital Holdings Zambia PLC (CCHZ) in February 2008 as Executive Director on secondment from the Namibian shareholder, Capricorn Investment Holdings Limited (CIH). He served as director for the repositioning project named Project Makumbi. Mr. Minnaar started his banking career in 1973, and brings a considerable amount of banking experience gained over three decades at Bank Windhoek in Namibia and ABSA in South Africa, amongst others. He holds a B.Com degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and a MBA degree from the University of Stellenbosch.
Mr. Louis Kabula
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Louis Kabula was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Cavmont Bank Limited in October 2009. In his role he is responsible for Strategic Financial Guidance and Governance. Prior to joining Cavmont Bank Limited he held a number of senior management positions in the Finance Portfolio at Flora Clothing, Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Limited and Stanbic Bank Zambia Limited. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CIMA) and holds a MBA from Manchester University (UK).
Mrs. Hlupekile Luhana
Head of Internal Audit
Mrs. Hlupekile Luhana was appointed Head of Internal Audit for Cavmont Bank Limited in July 2010. Prior to joining Cavmont Bank Limited, she held the position of Senior Auditor at MTN Special Engagements and KPMG with her last appointment as Internal Auditor for BANC ABC. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and is currently pursuing CISA (Certified Information System Auditor).
Mr. Gilbert Mabingo
Head of Retail Banking
Mr. Gilbert Mabingo was appointed Head of Retail Banking for Cavmont Bank Limited in July 2010. Prior to joining Cavmont Bank Limited, he held a number of senior management positions of which include Senior Retail Manager for Barclays, National Retail Manager for Celtel-Zain and Head of Retail Banking for Bank ABC. He holds a Diploma in Business Studies, a GMP with Witwatersrand University School of Business.
Ms. Helen Temba
Head Corporate Banking
Ms. Helen Temba holds the position of Head Corporate Banking for Cavmont Bank Limited. She has been with the bank for over 10 years in the following managerial positions; Manager: Banking Services for Cavmont Merchant Bank Limited; Branch Manager for Lusaka Square; Manager: Foreign Operations and Head of Community Banking. In her current role, Ms. Temba leads a team of Business Development Officers for Corporate Banking. Prior to joining Cavmont Bank Limited, she worked with Barclays Bank and Meridian Biao Bank. She holds an MBA from Edith Cowan University.
Mr. Mudenda Syamujaye
Head Treasurer
Mr. Mudenda Syamujaye holds the position of Head of Treasury and Investments for Cavmont Bank Limited. He has been with the bank for over 10 years with vast experience in financial markets, and has undergone various treasury and strategic banking training both within Africa and Europe. He has played a major role in the development of the treasury, asset and liability management function of Cavmont Bank Limited and contributed greatly towards the growth of the Bank. He is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Zambia Institue of Certified Accountants (ZICA).
Mr. Bwanga Kapumpa
Head: International Banking Services
Mr. Bwanga Kapumpa has nearly three decades of all round work experience as a banker. He has been employed with Citibank, African Commercial Bank and Meridian Biao Bank before joining the then Cavmont Merchant Bank in 1994 as Manager: Foreign Operations. He has held several senior managerial positions in the bank amongst which, Manager: Corporate Banking. Mr. Kapumpa was appointed Senior Manager: International Banking Services in 2004, during the merger between Cavmont Merchant Bank and New Capital Bank.
Mr. Vivian Groenewald
Head: Credit
Mr. Vivian Groenewald was appointed Head of Credit for Cavmont Bank Limited in November 2008 on secondment from the Namibian shareholder, Capricorn Investment Holdings Limited (CIH). Mr. Groenewald started his banking career in June 1992 and gained considerable banking experience over the past 18 years with Standard Bank and Bank Windhoek in Namibia. He obtained his Associate Diploma (CAIB) with specialization in Credit Management from the Institute of Bankers in South Africa, a B.Comm degree from the University of Oxford Brooks UK through Damelin School of Banking South Africa and a MBA degree from the University of Stellenboch.
Mr. Trojan Nyirenda
Senior Credit Manager
Mr. Trojan Nyirenda was appointed as Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer for Cavmont Bank Limited in 2004. There after he took up the position of Senior Credit Manager in 2010. Prior to this, he served as Financial Accountant for New Capital Bank in 1996, progressing to Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Cavmont Merchant Bank Limited in 2002. Before joining Cavmont Bank Limited, he worked with National Breweries and Coopers and Lybrand where he held different managerial positions. Mr. Nyirenda holds a B.Com degree obtained in 1991 and is a fellow ACCA.
