Board of Directors

The Board of Cavmont Bank is composed of the Board Chairman, and seven other Directors. These are from among persons with professional or academic experience in business or financial matters. The Vice Chairperson is elected by the Board from among the members of the Board. The Board is the overall authority in which all the power of the bank are vested and is responsible for formulation of the Bank policies. Below is the current Board of Directors of Cavmont Bank.

Mr. Willa Mun'gomba
Chairman
Mr Mun'gomba is a Barrister at Law, Banker, Management and Development Consultant. He has been with the Cavmont Group since 1992. He currently practices as a commercial lawyer.

Mr. Koos Brandt
Vice Chairman
Koos Brandt was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank Windhoek Limited on the 1st of April 1982. In September 1998 he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Capricorn Investment Holdings Limited. Koos was a founding member of Bank Windhoek. He studied law at the University of Stellenbosch and practiced as a commercial lawyer for over 30 years at Dr Weder, Kruger and Hartmann.

Mr. Paul A. D. Cave
Director
Mr Cave, a Zambian citizen, was born in Kitwe, Zambia and was educated in Zambia, Zimbabwe and England where he graduated with an LLB. (Hons.) degree from the University of Manchester in 1963, and was called to the English Bar in 1964.
Following graduation and admission as a barrister, Mr Cave returned to Zambia were he was admitted as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Zambia and practiced as a State Advocate in the Attorney General's Chambers before leaving to found what became the largest law firm in Zambia and of which he became Senior Partner. In this capacity, he represented the Government of Zambia and its parastatal holding companies throughout the period of their creation and development through acquisition and merger. In the process, he gained wide experience and developed an international contact base in the fields of corporate law and finance.
In June 1988, Mr Cave established the Cavmont Group.

Mrs. Chitupa Muzariri
Director
Mrs Muzariri holds a B.A. Economics and B.A. French which she completed in 3 years. She also holds a Masters degree in French. She also holds a MSC. Int'l Trade and Finance. She has worked as a Consultant in industries including South Africa Telkoms between 1997 and 1998, Laughing Waters Lodge in Lusaka, Zambia, PriceWaterHouse, South Africa and Societe Generale de Surveillance in Swaziland. She has also worked for Knox DArcy, South Africa, Theta Securities and Africa Development Bank in Cote d'lvoire.

Mr. Thomas F. Ryan
Director
Mr Ryan has many years of experience in a wide range of projects. He is familiar with Zambia's public and private sectors and has held senior banking positions with Equator Bank Limited and the American Express International Banking Corporation. Additionally, he was the first Chairman of the Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE), Manager of the Zambia Privatisation Trust Fund (ZPTF) and Non-Executive Chairman of the CopperNet Solutions. His other directorships include:
Care for Business Limited, Munda Wanga Limited, Quality Feeds Limited, Cavmont Capital Holdings Zambia PLC, Cavmont FMO Capital Corporation Limited, Cavmont Capital Insurance Corporation, Consolidated Tourism Investments Limited, Waterfront Limited and Seba Foods Limited.

Mr. Johan Swanepoel
Director
Johan Swanepoel was appointed Managing Director of Bank Windhoek Limited on 1 July 1999. In 2005 he took up the position of the Group Managing Director of the Capricorn Investment Holdings Group. Johan completed his B.Com (Accounting) degree in 1979 at the Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) and obtained his B.Com (Hons.) degree in 1981. After joining Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1980, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982. He was elected Managing Partner of the firm in Namibia in 1989.
