Cavmont Bank launches Church Account

Cavmont Bank has introduced the Church Account designed to offer Churches with preferential rates on interest, long term deposit and foreign exchange. The Church Account is a first of its kind in the banking industry in Zambia.
Speaking at the breakfast launch of the Church Account, Evangelical Church of Zambia (ECZ) Chairperson Bishop Joe Imakando said, “We are happy with the product because for a long time the Church has been looking for banking services that meets its needs,”.

In a speech read on behalf of the Cavmont Bank Managing Director Johan Minnaar, Head Retail Mr. Gilbert Mabingo said the product innovation is part of the bigger scheme to consolidate the business goals.

Mr. Mabingo also echoed the sentiments by Bishop Imakando of commercial banks providing the Church with services that meet their needs.

The Church Account is an account for Churches and other religious organisations that offer ease in collections of tithes, donations and pledges. The account also offers convenience to the organisation members. The church account comes with a free forex account, unlimited withdrawals, electronic funds collection and provides preferential interest rates on investments.
