Cavmont Bank celebrates women in sports and renews its commitment to support the development of Netball in Zambia

LUSAKA - Cavmont Bank announced today that it will continue its commitment to support the Zambia National Netball Team. The announcement was made during the semi- finals of the 2018 African Netball Championship, which also doubled up as the Netball World Cup 2019 Regional Qualifier currently taking place in Lusaka at the Olympic Youth Development Centre. Cavmont Bank is also a main sponsor of the event, providing K35, 000.00 for the tournament alone.

Cavmont's Community Support and Investment programme focusses on Youth, Women Empowerment and education. Zambia is currently in 3rd Position in the Africa Netball Cup. Only the top two placed teams will advance to next year's World Cup, as it stands Uganda and Zambia currently occupy those positions, but Zambia could still stand a chance if it beats Uganda in today's game.

Chilunga Chill Puta Dunham, Head of Communication and Customer Service said:

"We are thrilled to continue supporting the Zambia Netball Team during this time and even more excited that we could be a part of the Africa Netball World Cup Qualifiers right here in Lusaka. Cavmont Bank is committed to empowering women through our Community Support and Investment Programmes and this is a shining example of our many partnerships. We wish team Zambia all the best as we cheer them from the side-lines".
